#March Meet the Maker

So I’ve discovered this daily challenge for the month of March, created by Joanne Hawker. I figure this will be a great way to get the blog started and let everyone know what I’m about. I realise I’m a couple of days late with this (my birthday is the first of March, so I’ll blame that for my tardiness), but I’m going to make a couple of posts a day until I catch up.

Day 1 – ME.

I’m Jennifer. I am an illustration graduate who finished uni in 2011. Since then I’ve been working for a bank, but have recently decided to start a stationery company to put my creative energy to good use. Hence, the website. I have a long, fairly silly job title, but I basically audit complaints.

I specialise in sketching and watercolour painting. I love typography and botanical illustration. My favourite illustrator is Esra Roise. Check her out – amazing. I’ve recently become addicted to the youtube videos of Holly Casto and have these playing on a pretty much constant loop while I draw and paint.

A few things you don’t need to know about me; I’m addicted to make up and coffee (not mixed together). I love dark chocolate. I’m super clumsy and sometimes think my life may be a series of different examples of me tripping over and/or dropping things blurred into one.

So, there you have it 🙂
